These Terms & Conditions apply to everyone who uses mvpglobalnetwork.com and to every company that applies for or holds membership of MVP Global Network ("MVP", "we", "us"). Members are also bound by the Member Agreement and the AR Protection Fund rules.
1. The network
MVP Global Network is a private network of independent freight forwarders. Membership is limited to a maximum of five (5) member companies per city or gateway. When a city reaches five members it is locked and new applicants join a waiting list, which is kept in the order applications were received.
2. Eligibility and applications
- Applicants must be an operating freight-forwarding company with at least three (3) years of operating history.
- Applications must be made by an authorised representative using an email address on the company's own domain. Free email services (for example Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail) are not accepted.
- Applicants must provide two overseas trade references and may be asked for a bank or financial reference.
- Submitting an application does not mean it has been approved. We may approve, reject or request more information at our discretion, and we are not required to give reasons.
- Payment is only requested after an application has been approved.
3. Fees
Approved members pay an annual membership fee of US$1,800 and a US$500 contribution to the AR Protection Fund, a total of US$2,300 in the first year. Membership becomes active, and portal access is issued, once full payment has been received. The AR Protection Fund contribution is held and accounted for separately from membership fees. Whether the contribution is refundable, and on what terms, is set out in the AR Protection Fund rules.
4. Member obligations
- Keep company, contact and accreditation details accurate and up to date.
- Complete the monthly Amber Alert credit declaration on the 1st of each month. Portal features are locked until it is completed.
- Report any invoice owed by another member that is 30 or more days past due, with the supporting invoice.
- Settle any verified overdue invoice within 15 days of verification.
- Use the directory, rate requests and member information only for genuine business between members, and never share them outside the network.
5. Amber Alert and the 15-day resolution process
When a reported debt is verified by MVP administration, a 15-day resolution clock starts. An official warning is issued on day 2 and a final warning on day 10. If the debt is not resolved by the end of day 15, the debtor's membership is terminated automatically on day 16, portal access ends and the city slot is released to the waiting list. The creditor may then submit a claim under the AR Protection Fund rules. MVP may pause the clock where a genuine dispute is being investigated.
6. AR Protection Fund
The AR Protection Fund is a mutual protection arrangement funded by member contributions. Claims are only accepted for verified debts owed by a member that was expelled after the 15-day resolution process. Claims are subject to a maximum payout, eligibility rules and exclusions set out in the AR Protection Fund rules, and are paid at MVP's discretion from available funds. The Fund is not an insurance policy.
7. Suspension and expulsion
We may suspend or terminate a membership for unpaid debts under section 5, non-payment of fees, providing false information, misuse of member data, conduct that damages the network or its members, or breach of these terms or the Member Agreement. Fees are not refunded on termination.
8. Disputes between members
Members should first try to resolve disputes directly. If that fails, either party may refer the dispute to MVP administration, which will review the evidence from both sides and may pause a resolution clock while it does so. MVP's decision on network matters (such as status, suspension or Fund claims) is final for the purposes of the network, without affecting either party's legal rights against the other.
9. Website use
You may not attempt to access member areas without authorisation, copy the member directory, send spam through the site or interfere with its operation. Content on this site is provided for information only.
10. Liability
MVP facilitates introductions between independent companies and is not a party to any shipment, quotation or contract between members. To the extent permitted by law, MVP is not liable for any member's acts, omissions, pricing, performance or credit, and our total liability to any member is limited to the membership fees paid by that member in the preceding 12 months.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will notify members of material changes by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MVP Global Network's operating company is registered.
